I was curious as to what some of your guys' Idle is at when your engine is at operating temperature.

My 92 3.0 idles at 1200 RPM warm and 1500 RPM cold, seems a little high to me. Thanks for replies

On cold starts mine idles around 1200 rpm's, then when it kicks down on its own, it drops to 800 rpms. Both of you guys have idle speeds that are too high.

You can always ground out your two terminals on the dlc check your base timing and set your idle speed using the set screw on the side of the tb facing the front of the engine.

Rememer, base idle speed is 800 rpms, and if you still have the lable under your hood it will tell you exactly how to set the idle and the timing, it's easy and do it on a warm engine. Also, preform all of this with the transmission in neutral.
