Idles good...but stalls when I push the throttle

check the connection on your MAF sensor located on your airbox

My 92 did that , too. However, it was more intermittent-- sometimes it would take off just fine,, others,, it wouild buck and jerk like a wild horse. Turned out to be a fuel pump ( NOT cheap ) and the cause was -------- seems the last owner never changed the fuel filter,, which caused the pump to eventually go bad.

my 95 4Runner sputters and makes a pop sound
The vehicle is hesitating between 10 mph to about 30 mph and it will not go any faster, then I start hearing this popping noise in the engine bay (like a back fire) but if you pump the gas pedal it will speed up and the noise stops but will kinda sputter a little while driving. It has not ever died or anything while stopped. It will idle great, I have replaced air filter, wires, plugs and the fuel filter. also got a new maf sensor connector. we checked the maf sesnor working fine. truck recently got new heads installed with orignial Toyota parts. we have had this truck for 18-19 years first time it does this. the truck did at one point get a complete overhaul too about 5 years ago. this only started happening after we installed new heads, injectors&wires, and new knock sesnor hareness. dont know what else to do, but last option try my best to find a OB1 code reader or someone that has one :Cry:. You more than likely have a dirty air filter or a mad sensor issue.
