Don't get me wrong...beautiful truck...but I liked the other setup about 1000 times better. As long as you like it, thats all the matters.

it still looks great, but somehow it was more drool-inspiring with the 265 MTs on stock rims. weird. :shrug:
but again, not busting on you or your rig... it's a light-year ahead of mine! keep inspiring us, man!

I do agree with you guys, Having some Mud terrains on stock rims does look bad ass!! I was just kinda getting tired looking at it. Looked too stock IMO so I wanted to change it up a bit. This should hold over my mod bug hopefully long enough to pay off my credit cards....Hopefully!!
If I had mud terrains on these wheels it would probably bring some of that aggressive look back...some day...after these are worn down or I get tired of them I'll get some Mud Terrains.

I went to Anza Borrego again yesterday, Had a blast. A friend of mine finally took his 07' 4Runner offroad. My dad took his 05' Willy's TJ.
Truck handled beautifully, Suspension worked awesome. In some of the washes I was going between 45-60 mph. KDSS worked perfectly as well as you can see in the video.
The first clip of the video going down the drop off I used Crawl control the whole time. Started at the slowest speed then cranked it all the way up. Of course as soon as I stopped, the A/T P light on the dash lit up. Luckily after I turned the 4Runner off and let it sit for a few minute, the light turned off. Not sure why that turned on though. Also when I would put it in Park, I would get a grinding noise from the tranny or the transfer case as well, which was something I have never heard or felt before.
The last clip, I was hoping to record mostly the exhaust note, but I don't think that worked to well, camera really didn't pick it up. If you crank up the speakers you might be able to hear it.
In one of the washes, I drove my buddy in my 4Runner so he could feel how it rode, he was impressed, we got up to about 55 mph. Then I rode with him in his, he got up to the same speed and we were basically on the same road, well at some point during the short stretch, his front passenger shock exploded and bent. Pics are attached. The TRD Bilstein shocks that came stock on my 08' Tacoma are the ones that we put on his 4runner along with some 884 OME coils to provide lift. ENJOY!!

exhaust sounds great. what is that?
I wish our crawl control didn't make such lame noises. My brother Range Rover doesn't make any such noise in crawl mode not even down the steepest grade.

It's a Magnaflow Muffler. Yeah, Crawl control makes a crap load of noise. Luckily it cannot be heard outside.
We should get a crew together and head out there.
You don't need a pass or anything like that. Just stay on the roads designated for driving on, don't drive off the roads over plant life and you'll be fine. Usually we see some park rangers out there, but this time we didn't.
I sold it a couple months back.

Well I checked out the Owners Manual to find out what the A/T P idiot light stands for, Directly from the manual...
Unengaged “Park” warning light (if equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in the transmission “Park” mechanism.
That noise I was hearing must have been from the parking pawl making contact with the spinning notched wheel inside the transmission. For some reason the transmission shaft was still spinning even though I had stopped already. Weird!!
What was also weird, after I put it in Park, heard this noise, I then put it back in drive and lightly hit the gas, there was no power going to the wheels at all. Then put it back in Park, and I heard the noise again. Then I shut the vehicle off, waited a few minutes then started it again. Everything was back to normal.
Oh well, All is working now correctly. :bravo:
