I know we're all pretty biased because we have 4Runners, but what would be your second choice if you had to choose? It has to be an SUV. I'd probably go with a Grand cherokee. What about you guys?
If you could have any other SUV besides a 4Runner..

that's a really tough decision. There's so many nice rigs out there but it all depends on what you're asking, pick one off the dealer lot? or any SUV out there? There's too many to choose from but I'd go along the lines of something like this...but then again I'm not 100% in love with how a Cayenne looks (I'm in love with the 550hp engine). I love the looks and offroad capability of Range Rovers. Plush inside too. too many choices...

IF my 4Runner was taken away in the middle of the night, I would replace it with a Taco, not another SUV. I love my Runner and there is not another SUV that I think would do it justice.
If I have to pick one, however, it would be a Nissan Pathfinder. I had one before my Runner and it was nice, just not as nice as my 4R.

i'd import a diesel landcruiser from australia, man those things are sick
And I also speak from experience, I spent 6 months there and we rented them when we went camping...they sure are one tough vehicle

If $$ didn't matter, Cayenne or Range Rover, easily. Actually, if money didn't matter I'd take 'em over the t4r. But money is a real thing!
I would second the ML63 AMG
Tough choice as there really isn't anything out there that I like (including the 5thGen 4R)... I'd say the current Gen GC would be the one I would get if I couldn't have a 4thGen 4R.
I like the Tahoe (but a little larger than I want), LC (unreliable), Porsche (to expensive to fix), REALLY like the X5 (but it's a BMW, expensive to fix, reliability is questionable... I own a e90 M3, they build great performing vehicles)... I like the Merc AMG ML63, the G55 would be a player (but it's ugly)
In the grand scheme of things (comfort, build, price, repairs, towing) the 4thGen and the new GC are about the only two SUVs I'd consider owning.
If I tanked my '03 V8, I would probably buy a vvti V8 4thGen, a 5.7l Tundra, or a 2001/2002 Land Cruiser. I want a truck that will work all the time, be reliable, fixable...
Sidenote... I was coming home from a road trip and was tailing an ML63-AMG in my '11 M3, that Merc is fast, quick, and smooth for an SUV. Aside from the cost (and the fact it's a taxi in the rest of the world) it's a perfect light towing SUV. We were smoookin' and it was hanging on nicely.

I already owned a 2010 Sequoia SR5, and it was powerful as hell, nice goodies, but just wasnt thriled with it.

If money was not much of a factor, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo , or a Mercedes ML350 BlueTEC (Diesel)
But that's not reality, so if no T4R, either a Sequoia if I could afford the gas. Otherwise, a Highlander -- owned one before, great vehicle, except you can't get them anymore third row delete -- hate that.
