The NFL has, for the last 30+ years, purposefully had nothing to do with Trump.
They wouldn't let him buy into the Giants in the 80's, they smacked him and the USFL down when he tried to force a merger, and he got smacked down again trying to buy the Bills when Ralph Wilson died.
I highly HIGHLY doubt they would have, with no provocation, sent him a letter basically saying, "Maaaaaan, WHY did the debate commission schedule the debates last year to go up head to head against two games!?! We are gonna get killed in the ratings!"
It's so weird when he lies he HAS to know that it's going to be so often immediately proven he's lying...he just doesn't care or what?

Agree 100%. He has, several times now, booted others out of the media cycles by saying or doing something provocative so they discuss him instead. The ol' bad press is good press argument in affect.

But seriously though... what do you (the commentariat, not you specifically Mr. Gunslinger-13) think of voting 3rd party / write-ins? Do you think it will help Clinton or Trump or neither? Has anyone done a poll [on this site] about that?

It all depends, that's actually a very hard question. The media and establishment have been lying about trump the whole time yet he is now the candidate. They have been omitting stuff for Hillary the whole time and yet with social media the information is out the and still being ignored. Polls are very very close.
Traditionally the 3rd party vote hurts the underdog. But I feel this is the first time I remember that the polls are being constantly across the board skewed towards democrat voters. From the many studies I have read.
I don't think there is a chance that Johnson could win even if trump or Clinton dropped out. It's a can't win vs probably won't win situation for voters.

Personally, I think a 3rd party vote is a waste. That the people who do it, do it to feel better about their own vote. As long as we have a two-party system with the current campaign financing, 3rd parties will never amount to anything.
I think Bernie Sanders was spot on when he said that trying to change anything else before getting the money out of politics is moot. I think most of us could agree, no matter which end of the political spectrum we are, that we need to do just that.

Any other election but this one, I'd have agreed with you 100%. In this case though, it's really tempting.
People (myself included) always joke about presidential elections being "voting for the lesser of the two evils". This election, I can honestly say I'm not sure which candidate that is.
In the event of a tie game in the "evil" category for the current presidential candidates, I'd typically go to the Vice Presidential candidates as the tie breaker. Except in this case they both picked essentially the same damn person.
Anyone else have any tie breakers out there? Does Tim Kaine like puppies and babies? Is Mike Pence a closet car nut? Is there anything on this earth that will make them more likable than the other, and thus more deserving of a vote?
