The fact you believe that he made it for himself is more propaganda. Fred Trump handed him money on a silver platter and I'm not talking about his inheritance. His first major building deal was only put through because Fred Trump personally backed it with his reputation, connections and his own money. There's not a single person in this forum who would fail in that situation. From there, he's made money on more real estate. Great. But what has he done outside of that? Nothing. The mere fact he feels that he can just put his name on things and they will be successful should be telling enough.

Isn't that the goal of parents to help their children succeed? I hope to be able to pass my business of to my son when he is looking for a career. Part of that would entail introducing him to all my clients and vouching for him with my reputation. Does that make me bad? I find it funny that people live to hate trump but love bill gates. He treats all the outside people that work for him like 3rd class citizens. His wife insists that the best of the best from Gene Juarez Salon come to them for manicure pedicure treatments. They never tip and have horrible conversations in front of them about they "other people", lower class of people. These people make a good portion of their income from tips and they at a minimum are skipping 3 appointment to accommodate the gates. I used to work for a company that took care of an aquarium in their house and talking to the tech you would think he was a 3re class citizen to listen to his stories.

But the gates are "great helping people".

You're reading what you want to hear in what I said. I never said nor implied that it was somehow abnormal for Fred Trump to help his son out. Or that it in any way made him a bad person for doing so. What I'm saying is that it is laughable that people think that what he has done in business makes him any way qualified to run our countries economy.

And as far as your Bill and Linda Gates comparison. I could care less how they act behind closed doors as long as they aren't hurting anyone directly. There is no way you can even compare what they are doing with their money to help out others vs what Trump does with his.

Bill Gates is not running for office and being a hypocrite to gain popularity for votes. If he was, if what you say is true, perhaps would be a problem for him.
Maybe those businesses should have stopped providing their services to the family? I don't think you would expect your children to waste their time providing a service for nothing. If you own your business you choose your clients too. So do the businesses that service the Gates family.

Well the aquarium business owner seems like he like he doesn't care about his employees. The salon and any business loves to have big name clients. Even if they can't "name drop" you can still work it in.

As to a business being able to choose their clients. That used to be true. Now if you choose not to do business with someone and they say it's because you don't believe in homosexuality then your sued by the Feds. I personally don't care your sexual orientation buy unless your willing to say that's wrong you can't say your free to do business with who you choose.

Gate's in Washington is a political figure even though he isn't running for office. He does radio commercials for bills and candidates. After he made massive cash withdrawals he then endorsed a income tax bill. Thank god it failed but as soon as he found a way to minimize how it affected him it was ok. Also just putting his name on the election sign as an endorsement. Just the same hypocritical Trump saying it's time to clean out the corruption in Washington when he has been paying lobbyist's for years. The press for the last 30 odd years has been very scrutinizing of the right and the left has to run over a grandma and a small child to even get a blurb of negative coverage.

In 2015 she said if elected she will fight the NRA and if congress won't act she will take executive action on gun control. She is in favor of being able to sue the manufacturer of a firearm if it is used in a crime. How many time would they have to be sued before they went out of business. Should we be able to sue Toyota if I am hit by a drunk driver in a Toyota. Or any driver sober or not? Her "extra" hoops to jump through would do nothing but waste tax payer money as criminals have never and will never go through a background check to get a firearm.

This tends to be the attitude of the lock step democrats. Ban and confiscate all firearms they deem dangerous. Once again only law abiding citizens would comply not criminals.

As to the psyc evals yes I do think those infringe upon my 2nd amendment rights. If you have been convicted of a felony crime or institutionalized for mental health problems then you can not buy a firearm legally. If you start making people take psyc evals to purchase a firearm then you are subverting due process of law and therefore infringing on the 2nd amendment.

As I asked earlier. Would anyone who supports restrictions/more hoops/delays on the second amendment support similar laws on the other amendments? Say the 1st amendment. Freedom of the press, religion, petition, assembly, speech? Say making the press have the government vet their stories before they are released? A registration of all signs you have carried at protests/assembly's, registration of what religion you are?

How about the 5th amendment. Being forced to incriminate yourself at court?

Or the 8th amendment forbidding cruel and unusual punishment?

Once you set a precedent of modifying one it make the rest open to modification.

As to David duke. Every 4 years he says something stupid and then disappears for another 4 years. The sad fact that had trump continued to bring David duke up in press conferences he would have given more PR to Duke. That's a fact of the matter. I do not know why trump didn't say what some hope he would say. But Reverend Sharpton and Reverend Jackson have both said very racist comments and yet the media people never get on the left wing candidate for not denouncing them?

So....what did everyone think of the first debate last night?

Personally, I thought the experience gap was really evident last night. At one point Trump was rambling on about failing roads, airports, and America being like a third world country. Hillary came back with "because people like you haven't been paying any taxes". I lol'd.

Afterwards though speaking to Trump supporters they seemed to feel that he "destroyed" her last night so who knows. Maybe no ones mind was changed last night?

I don't think anyone won or lost that debate. Anyone but Clinton voters weren't swayed and anyone but Trump voters weren't swayed.

Trump did so well in the polls because his supporters are riled up and excited. Hilary's supporters are not. Everyone else is just upset that Trump/Clinton is the best this nation could bring to the table this election year...
