So I guess since most of the Canadians in this thread think we are a racist country why don't they offer to take in so many of the poor underprivileged Central American immigrants that we are so racist towards. After all the White population in Canada is around 80% vs 63% in America. Canada should really work on its diversity before accusing the USA of being racist.

That was refreshing. I used to take care of an aquarium for a dentist that moved from Vancouver because of all the anti Thai sediment he felt up there. Racism is everywhere. I have found through out my life the the people the scream racism the most tend to be the most hateful.

A segway, watched the PBS Frontline documentary "The Choice 2016" last night (I usually PVR Frontline). It's well worth watching and gives a interesting insight into why Clinton & Trump are the way they are and I think it is reasonably non-partisan.

So....what did everyone think of the first debate last night?

Personally, I thought the experience gap was really evident last night. At one point Trump was rambling on about failing roads, airports, and America being like a third world country. Hillary came back with "because people like you haven't been paying any taxes". I lol'd.

Afterwards though speaking to Trump supporters they seemed to feel that he "destroyed" her last night so who knows. Maybe no ones mind was changed last night?

too bad its just not true. the truth is, its because of people like her wasting tax payer dollars.

whether he paid taxes or not isn't an issue, assuming our laws were followed. we have to assume they were, or for certain the IRS would have been crawling all over him. it would have been reported, and we all would have know about it.

Now i will agree that databases need to talk to each other. If you are on the no fly list should you be able to buy a gun? NO. If you have a history of mental health problems should you be able to buy a gun? NO. If you have a felony record should you be able to buy a gun? NO. What is wrong with any of these restrictions?

its entirely too easy to get put on that list.

to that last one, felony or not, if you have been released back into society, you should have ALL of your rights reinstated. you are returning as a citizen of this country, and should be afforded all the rights that brings.

i guess my basic feeling is that ive got nothing to hide in my history, no criminal, mental, no-fly list or otherwise. so i dont care what you check on me, you arent going to find something that would cause me to not be able to purchase firearms. And most other lawful citizens have the same background as i do.Granted, having nothing to hide, doesnt mean you have to put it all out there to prove that.

and upon further research of the no fly list, it is a bit of a slippery slope. got a kick out of this:

SCOTUS is pretty middle of the road, leaning left really now that Scalia is gone. Clinton will nominate the youngest most leftist progressive POS under the sun and SCOTUS will forever lean far left and that is a scary thought.

This should be front and center in the minds of anyone voting who likes our Bill of Rights and our Constitution. Firearms specifically.

We cannot afford to have SCOTUS go full retard.

A few bad/progressive/anti-Constitution decisions could be the spark that ignite this powder keg of a Nation.

I'm no fan of Trump. I could stomach him over Hilary for sure, but I can't stand him either.

I am also a Libertarian, a conservative leaning anarcho-capitalist libertarian.

I'm not certain who he would pick from his list, but there are some good ones on there for sure, a few far right leaning justices, but most are moderate/conservatives.

His SCOTUS pick would likely be conservative leaning, but more moderate than than anyone Hillary would nominate, I would like to see a true Constitutionalist in every justices seat in SCOTUS. But I would gladly settle for a moderate/conservative justice over a super left leaning anti gun progressive liberal justice any day of the week.

Hilary WILL appoint a justice to SCOTUS that is absolutely anti gun and as FAR to the left as she can get. Something that is not acceptable.
