I think the OP is right about one thing though, there are a lot of kids who are less capable of independent thought due to their helicopter parents. I do get the feeling kids are babied / spoiled more than ever before.

i assumed it was implied that much, usually the term "____ brat" insert military branch here would refer to a person who's parents served but they didnt. they are the same kind of people who are "sons of a son" and exploit establishments like the american legion or VFW for cheap booze.

lol thats like saying we actually vote for our president, our votes dont mean crap, electoral college decide who gets to be the president. they gonna elect a guy whos gonna give the rich breaks and keep the poor people down, because its much easier to make money off of poor people than rich people, and that guy is gonna be mitt romney, who is going to shut down social service like pan parernthood, so girls who get raped at 14 and pregnant have to have the kid, and live with it their whole life, thats awesome.

I just found it fascinating how willing the Germans were to put Hitler and the Nazis into power. I just finished reading an extensive Churchill biography which covered the 1930s but I only know a limited amount about the 3rd-R.
