Ignition lock issue...

Hey so sometimes when I go to start my truck, the key will not turn in the ignition. It feels like the ol fashioned steering wheel pressure lock problem, but turning the wheel back and forth doesn't help.
After jiggling the key and whatnot, the key will suddenly go in slightly and turn. I want to say I can hear a faint click like a relay when it finally does work.
Could it be an issue with the RFID chip system for the key?

Is your key worn? Did you try the other key? The ignition switch itself could be worn as well.
