I'm a new owner of a 97 4runner

Hello everyone, I am hoping this forum will allow a good place to communicate on toy 4run issues. I have found that there are not too many issues when it comes to the 4runner. This why I chose to get one. Mine is a 97 limited with 185,000 mi and the 3400/AT. I bought it in Jan 2009 for 4100. Had to put on tires, timimg belt and the jack with control rods.
I changed the oil and filter with synthetic Mobil 5w/30w. I am happy with everything, but wonder
(1) if there is anything I need to do to prevent trouble with the transmission?
(2) Is there anything else I need t do to prevent future trouble ?

You definitely got it right. They are nice vehicles.

I would chekc your rear axle seals.
