I'm angry

So just recently i replaced my starter because it was not working properly......I put the new one in and it worked good for the first week, then it started acting up to where i would need to hit it.....BRAND NEW $80 STARTER :flipoff: yes im very angry...Why is this happening? Could it be a bad starter or what???? Plz help me before i drive my 4runner off a cliff!

Starter relay.

2nd generations are well known for having a bad starter relay. Find it. Replace it and see if that helps.

i would vote a grounding issue sense all the starter grounds to is your engine and tranny you could try taking the engine ground off cleaning it with a stainless steel wire brush then reconnect it. if not the full issue its a good thing to do every 5 years.
