I'm Awesome!!

'ello guv'nuh!!

I'm 29 and married and have the 3 best kids ever. I'm originally from IL but I live in so-cal and work for the DOD. I'm new here obviously, but I've been a member of similar forums before such as fullsizebronco and FJRforums. It's amazing how much info can be found on here. From what I've seen while lurking there is a good group of people on this site. (unlike clublexus SC subforums, god what whiners and posers)

I bought a highlander limited last year and was happy with it... for about a week. I never had any major problems with it but I had a ton of little stuff breaking constantly. Mostly cosmetic, but I just got sick of taking it back for warranty repair. My poor outlook on American cars now includes so-called Japanese cars made in Tennessee.

That sad chapter ended last Friday however, I became the proud owner of a new 2011 SR5 4x4 in grey. It has only been a few days but I am in love with this thing! The best part is the overall cost of highlander limited was slightly more than the SR5 4runner so my payment actually went down. WIN-WIN BABY!!

Mine will primarily be used to for family duty so I plan to keep it stock with the exception of a few clean mods. (HID/stubby ant/black mesh grille coming soon... hella black magic/retractable running boards and MAYBE different wheels later) I've had my fun wheelin' in my old bronco when I lived outside of Seattle, so the 4Runner will be seeing mostly highway with at most a few simple trails up near Big Bear.

I'm very approachable so if you have any questions or comments shoot me a pm. I also like motorcycles, guns, big tits, video games and sci-fi... in that order.

Stock as all hell but I love it.

Usually whatever the top tier Xbox game currently is. I've been dorking out on skyrim (FOOSE!!) on PC off and on since it came out. All my work friends have been playing MW3 these last few weeks so I'm going to have a hard time catching up.

It seems like I've been playing less and less this year. Hopefully it means I'm just busy and not actually growing up, lol.

Never too old for video games.

I sure hope so...

Btw I just removed the front dealer plate and found two jagged, bumper warping screw holes in the bumper cover. Wish I had done some reading on that prior to buying.

I just emailed the manager at the dealership about it. Hopefully they'll make it right. They were cool when I was there before but I'm in a less leveraged position now obviously.

if you make a thing of it, and can act good enough to be convincing with threats of bring the truck back and leaving it on their lot or that you have a cousin thats a tv reporter, they should fix the ****ty holes in your front bumper

damn, shame, new truck and they can't get a simple cheap front bumper connection for you and just drill holes like ****

my dad got a new Mercedes CL 550 AMG and he is a true showman, he had the same front bumper problem and he had me follow him to leave the car there at night in front of the main doors where he called them first thing the next morning, they immediatley filled in the holes and 2 days later you would never know there were screw holes in there, yeah it was a 90k car but whats right is right
if you have those 2-3" removable plates in your bumper that most modern body bumpers have you can buy a license plate holder that screws into these and it looks super clean, and if you are mostly a urban freeway driver you will love its clean look and it is rare so it looks even cooler
