Well guys I dont know if anyone remembers me around here but I got rid of my 4runner and got a Camry SE about a year ago. Well now I got rid of my Camry and I am back in the 4wd Toyota family. Not exactly a 4runner but better to me.

haha I know I know..Sometimes I regret selling it but before I got the 4runner I wanted a crew cab taco so I guess im glad with how it worked out. Im sure ill end up modding this one as well. Already looking at ordering sliders soon.

Well I have to say I did like the camry quite a bit but Im more of a truck guy so it was only a matter of time until I was back in a 4wd I guess. I did get a real good deal on the camry when I bought it though if that justifies it at all lol

Welcome back! Nice looking truck you picked up.

Those sure are great trucks! I used to have a 2001 double cab TRD before my 4runner.. have fun seeing the clock, haha! Will I see you over on Tacomaworld? I use that site too.

Oh and this:

Yeah the clocks already a pain in the ass but ill get over it lol Yeah im sure you will. I frequent TTORA more than anything though..

Southpark vid is great haha

Nice to see you bought another 4X4! I remember your old rig...not sure why I never commented on your Build Thread though.....I'm always commenting on people's stuff! Both trucks look great....can't wait to see what you do with the Taco!

Congrats!!! Nice Taco. I've been contemplating getting one or getting another 4Runner. I've had both(Well my TRD Taco was more of a ext. Cab/2000), but I would love to have a D/C Taco, just because of the many uses and still be able to haul my Fam. around.

That's my story too! Yes, the clock location sucks balls!

That gen DC taco is where I'll be going back to if I ever decide I want to get back into a truck, but boy are those 4WD 01-04 DC's hard to come by! Congrats on the new ride :reddance:

I had to look for a while to find a nice Dbl cab. They do seem to be rare and a little on the pricey side. I wanted silver like my old runner so that made it that much more difficult. I miss my 4runner sometimes too but I really like the platform I have now so Im sure ill eventually make it just as sick. Yeah I kinda wish it was a manual but that's nothing that a few hundred bucks and a weekend cant fix :D ..The first thing I want to do is get some sliders made or order some. Hopefully within the next couple weeks that will happen. Also if anyone knows of any good deals on some black steelies post em up or send me a PM.

Ive started buying my suspension for the tacoma. Bought some alcan leafs yesterday and will probably go bilstein all around. Im also looking to buy some 255/85's soon.

You'll like the DC. I bought one after my last 4Runner and it was a much more versitile platform for me. I regretfully sold that truck, due to our first kid being born, but replaced it with a Land Cruiser, which is a bit more baby/mom friendly (VSC, ATRAC, heated leather, better cargo for strollers/groceries, etc.). I miss having a truck, so I'm now on the lookout for a low mileage 01-04 regular or access cab Tacoma, 5-sp for myself. I never knew how useful truck beds were. It's been a long two years without a truck, so the hunt begins.

The clock "issue" wasn't a big deal for me. Not sure why everyone makes a big fuss over it. I usually had my cell phone on the center console anyway.

Good luck with the build.

EDIT: BTW, you can get Bil shocks from downsouthmotorsports.com for a pretty good price. I believe right at $300 shipped for all four. Call their number and say you saw their ad/promo price on tacomaworld.com
