I'm going to the dunes...how/where do I attach an antenna

I am going to the Pismo Beach Oceano sand dunes over New Years. How/where do I attach a safety whip antenna? My car is stock. Is there anyway to attach it to the roof rack?

K 30 Magnetic mount. This is the set up I run when wheeling with the club. I bought mine at a local CB shop.

If your talking about an orange flag...I just had mine sticking out of the sunroof. But I was in Northern Michigan and only 1 other vehick was out there. Rural and low key place. In a busy place that might be frowned upon. And nobody likes a frown, do they?:biggrin2:

Sorry guys...I should clarify.

I need to mount a whip antenna with orange flag for visibility and safety. I don't need a CB antenna.

Out the sunroof wont work because then I'd need to have the sunroof open all the time.

Hmm, you could make a bracket to put it on the fender. I put my CB antenna there and will prolly fit my HF antenna there aswell.
It's not that hard to make. Just one 30mm wide x 4mm thick steel plate or stainless. Bend it in a L and again in a L
