I had relatives that lived only a short distance from Pearl Harbor, they watched the attack from their house. The attack and the feelings they felt while it was happening, was something they never forgot to their dying day.

A day which will live in infamy.

December 8th, 1941 Franklin D. Roosevelt decided to bring thousands of Japanese people into the United States as refugees to flee from Imperial Japan. He claimed that the majority of Japanese people were not kamikaze pilots and that they were peaceful people. He also reasoned that the US should bring in thousands of German refugees to escape Nazi Germany arguing that the majority of Germans were not Nazis...

Oh wait... that would have been today's reaction...

Thank God common sense prevailed back then.

Keeping silent on current affairs is a much greater offense to their sacrifice. What would they say if still here today? Talk to the few who are still with us and you’ll get a glimpse of the old fashioned patriotism/love of country that once burned bright in the hearts of most Americans.
