What to do aside from the obvious? Going to hit Nellis for the museum. Done the dam (back when you could do the "big" tour to the insides).

It is a bit of a hike (okay a lot of one), but time permitting it's the one thing I'd recommend. One of those places that you can't grasp until you actually see it for yourself.

funny..ill be in vegas thurs/friday before continuing my trip out to san diego. im going to do the dam cause ive never done that but mostly just hang out by the pool and drink.

my car is staying home my friends moving out there so we are taking her car. a turbo'd volvo. should be fun to open her up on 15. :cowboy:

Head on out to Red Rock Canyon...beautiful scenery and you dont even have to get out of your car. They have great hiking trails if you do wish to get out of the car.

Just take Charleston Blvd West from the city...toward the town of Blue Diamond.

How's the T-Volvo on 15?:bigok:

i barely even got to open her up...i dont even think i broke 100 during the whole trip. i kept her in the 85-90 range mostly which was good enough for me to go the 1400+ miles there w/o getting stopped by a cop.

gas mileage was nice though i think from Castle Rock, CO to San Diego, CA [which was our ending point] about $100 total in gas. we avg'd id say 28mpg
