thanks
i just got done fiddling with this gadget for the last 7 beers, and to be honest I couldnt figure out how the guy in the link i posted "skipped teeth" without actually physically just grinding them, which i wasnt comfortable with, they are little plastic gears...
I ended up just rotating the "dial/guage" on its shaft to nearly perfect, and will make it totally balanced in mounting (maybe 2 degrees off as is). Im going to use velcro to mount it, as well as a something to fill the gaps between the meter and the dash. Im using velcro because 1) the clinometer i bought didnt come with the mounting base and 2) my original dash has been covered with a cover that doesnt have the 'divot' for the clinometer to sit
The units are very easy and straightforward to take apart, definitely a sick little device! Before I mount it I need to extend the wires and wire it in. Im not sure where yet, cig lighter/pwr outlet? that has constant power right? What would be the best type of wire to use? Thanks
fourwd: i really appreciate the link man, i am stunned i havent seen that one yet on RB's page, he is truly the 4runner master! i mean damn! Ive disassembeld and reassembled it 3 or 4 times now, so if i decide that I need to get back in there and make those mods it wont be hard! Thanks again, in honesty I wish i wouldve seen this an hour ago ;-) but whatever, id probably **** near 30 degrees anyway!
