I just got a Phase Linear put in yesterday! I also got the bypass so It plays while in drive. I'm lovin it. The only downside is that it covers up the temperature guages and rear window control. It only takes a sec to tilt it down to use the controls. Doesn't bother me a bit!

That's why I went with the double DIN Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD...it's got the biggest screen you can fit in there, and it doesn't cover up the controls.

I'm in the middle of installing an eclipse avn6620 hu right now. Any chance you lost your dash/parking lights during the install? I am having some SERIOUS troubles and it was supposed to be a direct fit replacement with the harness on my '02.

Qyota - yea it's a jensen phase linear UV8. I got it for only $120 from a buddy so I COULDN'T pass up a deal like that. If I were to buy a new one it would be a double DIN. Thanks!

psquared77 - Thanks for the compliments! I had a friend put it in and he didn't have any troubles... The only problem was he broke the D in the shifter so now there's a hole

Thats a weird shifter! Is it out of a Camry or something? Never seen one like that on a 4Runner.

That's the only thing I regret about my 4runner. Which I would have spent the extra $300 or so to get an indash HU.
