Info on these TRD wheels

Thanks. Why did you set your Bilsteins at .85" instead of 1.75".?Do you have spacers in the rear?

I set them there because I was afraid of having a reverse rake as some have experienced, plus I have the third row so it's a little ass heavy already. It's pretty level as it sits.

Makes sense. I don't have 3rd row, but I don't think I would set it at 1.75" I would stick with .85". I really don't want spacers in the back. Where did you buy your Bilsteins?

Yeah I wouldn't mind spacers but the ones I've seen raises the ass end too much imo. I got my bilstiens at autoanything.com, I don't think they have the fronts in stock at the moment though.

True, I see you installed the Bilsteins yourself. My concern is finding someone to install them. Did you sell your SR5 wheels and if you did, where?

Anyplace should be able to install them just fine need to be sure they set them up correctly though. Yeah I sold the rims and tires separately on Craigslist, I got $550 total. Not too bad I don't think.

I got $300 for my Dunlop's. I dont know how high I could sell my rims for. I guess I could always have my dealer do the Bilsteins. I don't know if anyone else I could really trust. Without the 3rd row do you think I would be fine at .85"?

I got the same for my stock tires, I put the rims up for $100 each and settled for $250 just to get them out of the garage. I think you'll be fine with the .85", if you do a search of the Bilsteins you can see pics of both settings.

I heard that Discount Tire might buy rims if they install rims for you.

That's crazy. I'm trying Craigslist and eBay with no luck at $375.

Actually, mine is the Nautical blue. I wanted black because gray was similar in colour to the stock wheels. On a Silver 4runner the contrast of the black wheels would be greater and give a different look than the gray ones. I don't think you would go wrong with either choice.

Is it just me or does the TRD Pro black wheels look like they have deeper backspacing than the matte gray TRD wheels?
