Information bar question

Hey everyone. I just bought my first 4 Runner last weekend. I absolutely love it to death. It's a used '06 SR5.

I do have a question, however. The information bar seems to slightly flicker as if it is going out every once in a while. Is this normal? If not, is it an easy fix (ie bulb replacement) or do I need to get a whole new info bar?

I think it is a common problem. My 2005 and my parents 2006 do it. It seems worse in the cold weather.

I have an '03 limited and my info bar has done that since I bought it in Oct '06. It hasn't gone out completely yet and it only does it sometimes. There are bulbs behind the AC unit that you can replace but I don't know if any of them will fix this problem. The next time I am at the stealership I will ask one of the techs about it.

I was able to stop this by removing the bulbs behind the panel and cleaning the oxidation off the printed circuit board with a pencil eraser. Hope this helps.
