Hello all 4runner guru's. i'm relatively new to the 4 runner sceen and picked up an 87 with the 22re motor with a 5 speed 4wheel drive. good deal. but now i'm running into a problem with the number 2 injector. the wire i guess was corroded and the number 2 injector is not fireing, is this a common problem, i pulled the tape off the harness and found some bad connections, fixed that problem, it seemed to work for a bit and now hitting the same problem. Is this normal, do i need a new harnes from the computer to the motor and if so where can i get one? the computer was thought to be the probem so it was replaced and then we fixed the wire that seem to work for a bit. thanks again

If the injector was not firing, you may have a clogged injector.
Try some fuel system cleaner, even pull the part and soak it in the stuff, but you will probably have to replace it. If you do, you may look at new injectors and O rings all around. Worth the extra$$ to do them all at once and KNOW they are good.
If you did good work on the harness, it is probably fine (as long as there are no other problems). Someone else may know better tho, but good solder connections and shrink tube to protect it can work really well for a long time.
