Inner Fender clips??

This is probably a dumb question, but how do you remove these clips without destroying them? They are the black plastic clips that hold the inner fender dirt sheild in place. They have a round head and a square body. any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks in advance.

the "center" post should come out first ... pull em up from the inside , lifting the center post and pull em off .
