Was looking under the rig today and noticed the passenger side inner tie rod boot was showing signs of some sort of leak. The driver side was completely dry. What should I be checking or replacing?
Check the ps fluid reservoir to see how much ATF fluid you are loosing. If it's negligible loss then i'would just drive it but if its leaking to the ground and you can see spots then it's time for a rebuild rack or have your rack rebuild with new seals. It's an expensive part to replace. My 3rd gen has had a leak sâme as yours for a year now and it's been fine.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but your steering rack is failing. If you pull that cover I guarantee you will have a ton of PS fluid spill out. Its not going to be a cheap fix but you can DIY if you want to save some $$
Yep, looks like your rack is leaking, which will require replacement. It would be worth your while to check for a leak above the rack, dripping down on to it.
MSRP (in 2012) on the rack is $915 and 2.8 hours labor to R&R. I bought one as a spare a few years ago and it was around $700, IIRC. The hours quoted seem low when perusing the service manual replacement procedure.
