Input wanted: Possible wheel color schemes

I have a 99 desert dune 4runner with silver 5 star wheels, and they are really starting to show how much they've been in the southern utah sun. I plan on painting them later this year. I don't think I'll go all black, but I'm trying to figure out what would look best.

Charcoal? Stock Silver? Silver with black center caps? Lime green? What do you guys think?

Yeah, something about this photo has always seemed odd. Nikon D5000 w/ 55-200mm kit lens. Nothing special.

I really do like these wheels in black too, but I just feel like my color doesn't jive well with the all black look. I think it looks great with either a dark colored 4runner or silver/white one. Desert Dune just looks a tad off IMO.

LOL buddy desert dune isn't a color. If it looks good on a silver truck it will look good on yours as well.

Disagree. Thanks for the input though.

I think I'm leaning toward painting the wheel silver and the center cap graphite unless someone can show me some bronze wheels that look good on a "silver" 4runner.

I found this black 1st gen tacoma with bronze wheels.

1- would bronze look as clean on my 4runner as it does on this tacoma?

2- would 5 stars be too much wheel to paint it bronze? The bronze options I've seen before are narrow spoked, if that makes sense.

personally....I think bronze would look better on a black rig than on yours man......Like I said already, Charcoal / Gunmetal, or maybe....just maybe...Black. I'd me reluctant to do black though....alot of rigs out there with OEM wheels painted black. I personally like a little diversity in my mod choices....that being said...it's your rig...not mine...so do whatever you like man! I won't flame you for that!

Kind of keeping the same bronze/gold look (bars/calipers) that I had with my 919 that was sold a couple years ago...

I think Fightman is right, your better off sticker to a darker colour as it will accent the lighter "desert dune" color of your 4Runer. Which is why I think bronze looks good on dark vehicles..... but it's your rig not mine.

I have gloss black wheels on my desert dune 4runner. I love the look but considered doing gunmetal for a very long time before I pulled the trigger.
