Fro-Runner, that's a really good point. The mileage reported was from my tripometer. Given you are correct with your calculations, actual road mileage could have been anywhere between 34-42 miles less than the tripometer reported.

Leesdawgs, I couldn't be happier with the setup! I'm glad your STT's are kickin' as much ass as mine. Thanks for the tips on how to trim the bumper. The project was successful and pics soon to come!

Have you done an alignment since installing the lift? If so, did you have any problems? What are your impressions of the lift so far?

Actual road milage with larger tires is more than the odometer says, not less.

Finally - A LOCAL!!!

Looks awesome! Been wanting (and researching...argh!) a lift since I got my 4R. Now Im convinced - Santa is bringing me some spacers for Christmas for sure!

But I need to know -

1) How much for the set and is everything I need included?
2) Where did you get/order them?
3) How much to have Mike's install them?

I ordered the wheel spacers from Spidertrax.com (Item WHS-007)
Tires were ordered from National Tire and Battery for install right after the install at Mike's Offroad. I think I paid $500 for the install.

I did order the cornfed lift from Burtmans - Cant wait to get it. Then I guess I'll hit up Mikes to install - Not too thrilled about the cost though...

The spacers look like something I could do myself - What do you think?

You can do the wheel spacers yourself. However, MAKE SURE they are torqued properly and you use the loctite provided. I can't stress that enough.

So far I have put about 10k on the tires. The road noise is still minimal. I hear some tires start howling after being worn down a bit, given 10k isn't much mileage, they are still smooth and quiet. No chunking to report. I will post up some more pics in a couple days to show their "wear and tear" if you will. Good luck with the decision, I recommend the STT's!

Trimming?

Wondering if you've trimmed your fender yet and if so how it went, how it looks and how you did it. I just got the same tires as you installed. They tried it with the 1.5 wheel spacers and it rubbed WAY too much so we opted to go without for now. But they still had to do major trimming to fit the 285 Coopers. No rubbing except for the "A" arm when I turn full crank. Was wondering if yours did the same or if the wheel spacer eliminated that issue. So Im stuck in the middle - Spacer and cut fender or no spacer and rub A bar...??? Ideas or tips?

brett682 - CONGRATS! I hope you like the Coopers as much as I do. Doesn't look bad either with the whitewalls face out.

With the spidertrax spacers installed, I opted to cut half of my inner fenderwells (plastic lining) out on the front side. I also used my dremmel to shave off a section of my front bumper. This eliminated the rubbing on both the corner of the front bumper, the lining AND the A-arm

I know I keep promising pics so I will post them tonight.

Yeah, I love them, changed the whole look. My brother says it looks like its ready for battle.

Thanks for the offer. I got a whollotta crap going on right now. BUT when I get back in steady waters I will def look you up and get some help trimming it up a bit. Gotta get those spacers on - Totally dig the look and don't feel good about rubbing that A bar.
