I've been interested in doing an HID retrofit on my runner. After months of researching retrofit builds here, I was actually lucky enough to snag [MENTION=129084]Flemster[/MENTION] 's old retrofit when he recently upgraded to the SRQs. (Thanks again [MENTION=129084]Flemster[/MENTION]!)
So, now that I have the lights and I'm faced with the prospect of wiring them in, I realized I have no idea where to even start. (I'm also a bit intimidated by automobile wiring, as I once caught a battery on fire trying to jump start a car...) Since this is my DD, I don't want to just starting cutting and soldering without a plan.
That being said, I've done about a million searches here and I've found a ton on how to BUILD the retrofits, but nothing on how to actually install them. So I'm trying to find a walk-through or write up on this.
If anyone can either help me figure it out (or point me to the thread I missed that explains it) I'd really appreciate it.
Or if anyone in the OC area wants to come help me out, that would be awesome too!
