Install Pair of 1/4" Toytec Spacers Only

Anybody install just the 1/4" spacers in front? Is the 1/2" of lift it gives not even noticable? I want to reduce the rake in front, but thinking about keeping the stock size tires on there and don't want to lift the front enough to where the stock tires look too small (although I'm sure most will argue they already do). Would it be worth the effort? Or would that much lift/leveling not even be apparent?

I've got the fj springs and the 1/4" spacers and trying to make the decision. The 1/4" spacers didn't come with extended bolts, but I guess they aren't needed. If I install just the spacers, do I have to compress the springs? Can anybody point me to a write up for installing topout spacers? Thanks.

Click the link in my sig where it lists my lift/tires. I've got pics of mine with 1.5" front lift and stock tires as well as a list of a couple links that will help you out on the install. If you plan to run the FJ springs (which I highly recommend) then a 1/4" or 1/2" spacer is all you need to finish leveling it. Many folks have used both combined with the FJ springs. Which one is right for you depends on your 4runner. A v8 4x4 you'll need the 1/2" thick spacer, a v6 4x4 or v8 2x4 you'll need the 1/4" thick spacer, and a v6 2x4 you will probably want to try just the FJ springs only first. You will gain twice the spacer thickness in lift, so the 1/2" spacer provides 1" lift.
