installing wheel locks

am about to install wheel locks, my question is, do i need to lift the truck when installing wheel locks? or i can just take lugs out, put new lug nuts (wheel lock) with the truck on the ground?

I've never thought about putting the car in the air... I've always just swapped the lug nut for a lock while on the ground. Seems to be fine!

No need to lift the truck. Remove one lug nut from each wheel and replace it with a lock. Just be sure to torque it correctly so you can get it back off.
