Please don't make double posts. I deleted the other one in General Section.
They'll make it into production eventually. I've spoken with K&N a couple times and they're excuse is that they don't have a test vehicle for R&D. If you or anyone you know lives in Southern Cal they could sure use it.
Right now all of the companies that make performance parts are focused on American made vehicles because, A. they are easier and cheaper to design for; and B. There are thousands more American vehicles on the road (bigger market).

You should give it a shot with the '03-'04 it can't be that different. One thing that makes it difficult about the '05 (and I don't know if its like this on the '03-'04) is that the MAF is built into the stock airbox. Also there are some vacuum lines pulling off the intake tube.MRBLUE107 said:

I think the Tundra airbox ends in a different spot than the 4runner's does so i'm thinking the Tundra one won't work. It would be nice to see pictures of the stock intake setups on both the 04 and 05 to see what would have to be moved or tweaked for us to get an intake system. Has anyone tried contacting AEM for an intake. I believe Christian Rado had an AEM intake on the World Racing 4Runner. makes me wonder if they will make one for the 05.
Im going to get a hold of the person that bougth my 04 with the kn intake and open the hood along side next to mine. THe only issue im thinking is the maf sensor and maybe the wall that surrounds the filter itself. I think they may have moved the power steering res. over there. Ill find out and post.
