Intake manifold gasket replacement

I have coolant on both sides of the valley in between the intake manifold and heads. So, I'm preparing for gasket replacement. I have a couple questions for anyone who's been in there; are there other things I should look at replacing "while I'm in there." Second, can you take the manifold out without taking the head covers off?

Coolant hose

I see there's a coolant pipe under there. I do not believe it's leaking. I'm debating replacing the o-ring. Hate to disturb anything that's working though, lol
