intake mod

I have a 97 and am trying to do the mod with out having to buy the parts for a 2000. I have a pipe I can use. Anyone ever tried a hybred of the 2?

If you have it planned out in your head, just do it and post pics for others to learn from. I have a 98 and used pvc caps. I think the T fittings wee were discouraged somewhere on here. I used a barbed fitting in the biggest cap. Also put an afe dry filter at the same time. Very happy with both.

That was to easy. Trip to Lowes and about 45 minutes of work

does it make a difference if you follow the video

I haven't drove it yet, started it up and wasn't any louder, which was what I was worried about. Digging in to I found several vacuum hoses that had cracks in them, so going to start checking those out.

Do the deckplate mod if you want it to be louder.
