intake plemun

hi guys im going to change my valve cover gasket, the shop said that it cost 500 bucks for them to do it and i just dont have the money. so imthinking of doing it myself

can anyone show me how to take the intake plenum off with all those lines which i dont even know what the hell they are. thx

Probably the best way to go about it is to use a Haynes or Chilton manual, or other similar. They have pretty good instructions on how to do everything. I'm about to undertake the same job myself. Hopefully in the next month or so, it's not at the top of the list now.

Have you bought a gasket yet? Where did you get it and how much?

i got the valve cover gasket at autozone for 20 something bucks and the intake plenum gasket was from the toyota dealer for 18. im gonna do it this week so i'll post pictures and instructions for others.

can some one tell me what stuff to take off for the intake plenum i dont wanna break anything

Do both banks when you have the intake off. Maybe you meant to say "valve cover gasketS"

just the intake plenum not the manifold so one gasket and yes i ments gaskets for them valve covers
