Intake Reset??

Ok, I am going to be taking out my airbox to do some modifing. After I disconnect the sensors, do I have to reset the engine somehow so it recognizes more air into the engine? My buddy has a jeep and said he unplugged the positive wire from the battery and turned the key to auxillary power for 30 seconds, then he turned his vehicle on. Is it the same for my truck?

pull out your EFI fuse for a minute or so. Dont do anything with the key tho
