Why do you need to upgrade the MAF? I have a K&N cold air intake on my 97 Limited. I probably have the same MAF as your 96 and I have had no problems for 5 years.
Idk I was told closed air box is betterWHY
Why is the volant better? Does it somehow push more air in? If you go to K&Ns website you can see the DYNO results for before and after with the K&N. Plus with the K&N which costs $225, you don't have to replace the MAF with a different year.
The Toyota computer system that controllers the fuel air mixture might not "be happy" if you swap out the MAF for a different year.
Has anyone else done this already?
