Any cats beside factory replacement have to be universal. You pick them by engine size normally.

I found a thread on how to add a resister inline with the O2 and stop the code. It's like $6 in parts. URD is plug and play and that's why they charge $150.

It's more than just a resistor, though. Their kit is a simulator. It still uses the signal from the rear o2 sensors and modifies it accordingly to stay within the range required. My understanding is it still allows the system to calibrate the front o2 sensors.

His question kinda scared me. Just to confirm, the hardest part is welding? I won't have any ECU codes or emission problems with the stock catalytic converters..

With these headers, I am buying an exhaust (Flowmaster) and want to get a high-flow cat as well. Since there are 3 cats in the 4 runner, do I need to get 3 high-flow cats?

Its a good idea to replace them all. Keep in mind you may need anti-foulers if you throw any codes though.

Ive considered wiring up a piggy back system to control and tune - but wish there were more options available.

I swapped out the 3rd cat / Y-pipe with the Magnaflow. Huge benefit. That thing is a worthless design. I can get you the parts as well, maybe some discounts too. For the primary cats, if you don't plan to use the OEM ones, I would get the other Magnaflow and have the exhaust shop weld them in. They make some "universal" that are easy enough to weld in.
