Interest in the Arizona 4Runner Club

Sounds fun. I'm currently off Sun-Tues, so I'd be down for anything. I'd even love to learn how to turn a wrench on these bad boys. Pulled my rear bumper cover off the other day because wife tapped a car backing out. Luckily it wasn't any serious damage to either vehicle, and something I could fix on ours. I took some pics and plan on putting together a "how to" thread soon. I will start keeping an eye out on that other thread. I look forward to meeting some of you.

I'm totally in. I just got my 2016 4Runner and have been to a few outings and love it. Been to Payson, Flag and Table Mesa. I'm still stock but it handles everything well so far. Please email me if you plan an outing!

Holy thread revival! Awesome sauce! I'm in east Tucson. Was out playing on some quad tracks with her today. Hehe. Hoping to make a run to Cherry Creek one of these days when the fires have cleared.

How many 4R guys are there in the metro Phoenix area? I'm from Michigan, but I'll be moving to Arizona sometime here at the end of the year and am contemplating picking up a nice 3rd gen to replace my rusting 2004 Ranger.
 
there are lots of us but we go dormant apparently in the summer here

New to the AZ group

Hey guys, I'm interested in connecting with other T4R owners in AZ as well. I just traded in my 2006 SR5 for a 2016 TEP and would love to meet other enthusiasts in the area. I really just want to hang and learn from the pros that have been off-roading and modifying their 4runners for far longer than I have. Of course my stock rig probably can't keep up with most of you guys but I'll go as far as I can until I get mine fixed up.

Watch the "who wants to go wheeling thread" in this section. We get some runs up a few times a year. I think it's been too hot lately. I would get out, but have been a little too busy. Only six more months of 100 degree weather!

Just got a 2016 4runner TEP with KDSS. Looking for some advise on rock sliders. I'm interested in bolt on kind with metal plate on top and mounts flat. Also, that do not require any holes drilled.

You can check out 4Plus. AZ local fabricator. He built my sliders (4th gen) that are bolt on (with a reinforcement plate welded to frame). I don't know if he has worked on a 5th gen but it may be worth asking. He's built a number of things for my runner (all the skid plates including a transfer case plate, sliders and roof rack):

Thanks for great advises. Since I wouldn't be doing anything crazy for now, I'll wait for a while. Someone mentioned that Toyota might void warranties if you drill or weld anything onto the frame.
