Interior has white "film/residue"

Hey all. The interior of my new to me 2010 SR5 Premium has a white residue on the interior doors and console. It's not really heavy, but annoyingly faint. It looks as though the previous owner did a lousy job detailing it or used a poor product.

I've had it for about 6 weeks and I've tried cleaning it with a cloth and warm water. This seems to work for a bit, but then comes back. I'm hesitant to just go pick up some random cleaner as I don't want to make it worse. Any suggestions?

I went and did a thorough detail last week with some 303 and it cleaned it right up. Whatever it was, it's no longer there! :happy:

I would have also guessed at wax from reading your description. How trifle bazaar.

If you have this problem because of window tinting or after removing window tinting. you can use little petrol with a dry cloth and when you rub on the window it will be away in 10 minutes.
