Interior liftgate panel protection

The interior liftgate panel is starting to flake and degrade due to things in the cargo bay smashing into it. Have any of you tried to add adhesive rubber pads or other types of protection to that panel?

I looked for this same solution but ended up getting Plano heavy duty totes for camping and hunting trips. I also leave one secured in the cargo all the time for tossing in sports equipment etc.

The 4Runner does seem to use a plastic on their interior panels that scratches very easily. More so then any other vehicle I have owned. In 5 months and 7000 miles the interior panels are looking like my 6 year old BMW X5.

Yeah, unfortunately these were camping cots which bashed around, not sure if the nets could contain those. I'll keep looking around for possible solutions. might need to pack those differently or pad the cots.

Strap you stuff down better. Orrr just let it get busted and up and replace it if you need to sell the truck.

Look at Raingler products to see if they have a solution for your need. They can also do custom net products.

Thanks everyone, I'm like the Raingler net idea, wonder if it's still enough to keep things from crashing into the tailgate. I might just see how bad it deteriorates and then replace the panel, looks like the panel is ~200 bucks to replace.
