Interior Light Switch

I am looking for a few things to do to my T4R. I want to put a switch in the console to turn on the interior lights. Is there any way that I can wire a switch to control the interior lights all at once, like they have in some cars.

This is something I would do as well. I think it might be the one thing that I don't like about the 4runner. I have never seen a car that didn't have the ability to control the overhead lights from somwhere on the console.

yes it's possible. ANY car could do it. it's just alot of rewiring to ONE switch. which you might need a relay. the only thing i want for my interior is a BRIGHTER dome light. is it me or my dome isn't as bright as other cars? but here's a sneak peak of my interior lights.

Bump!

Thought about this, can any verify or double check this:

The dome lights are connected to the Internal Light Circuit at Pin 8 as shown in the Map mod (see signature). Wouldn't all you need to do is ground out that wire to the frame with a switch in there? If you were to just tap that wire, besides turning on the light, what else would that trigger: door ajar warning light, key hole light...? Not knowing what else that would trigger I thought about also adding a diode down stream of the tap so other functions wouldn't be tripped.

Hopefully that stirs the pot for the minds.
