Interior Lighting Converted to LED (Many PICS)

Most people don't want to pay $60 for two dome lights, but I have them and it's worth it. I feel like I get a tan whenever I get into my truck. :banana:

Good stuff as I just ordered them and should have my full LED set up by next week.

im ordering some blue led dome lights from oznium they should look pretty sick after i install my kenwood head unit that is blue. i think the orange and blue theme will look sick!

Got them all today and installed them.....Holy shit is the interior bright. All went as planned except the 10 amp fuse I blew changing the vanity bulbs. I must of touched something and it poped, good thing for the spares they provide. Everything looks awesome, thanks Fo Shezzy good work. Now to do the Map light mod....when I get enough courage to do so ( i will follow J.A.s "how to")

Anybody know which LED'S are required for the dome light in a 4Runner equipped with the Rear Seat Audio System?

Also, how do you remove the one piece lens without damaging it?

I finally got around to doing mine last night. It literally took less than 10 minutes to do all the doors, map lights, and the two dome lights. I didnt get the high powered 194 bulbs, but mine still seem to be plenty bright. The door lights have no problems lighting up the ground. The bulbs I got were only $4.99 a pair. I may get something brighter for the map lights though.

I used a small flat head screwdriver to pop off all of the lenses. The dome lights were the easiest since they seem to be thinner and more flexible, but not fragile...

Just to clarify, the 03-04 models did not come with lights in the vanity nor the glove box (unless mine is burned out).

Edit - Just figured out it's only on when the driving/low beams are on.

I just installed some Putco LED bulbs in my 2011 map and dome lights. Wow... are they bright. I used the high power 194 LED bulbs for the map lights and a DE 3175 LED Festoon bulb for the map light. Will take pictures and post

I also did the license plate lights as well using the high power 194 bulbs.

Same thing happened to me when I installed my LED's, it's a fuse under the hood. The dome light fuse.

Noob here... and this happened to me as well the first time I tried installing some newly purchased LEDs for my dome and cargo lights! Thanks for all your info and help, Fo_Sheezy, it has helped tremendously!

just pulled the trigger and got the upgrades for all interior lights (doors, maps, vanity, glovebox, dome, and license plate) went with blue except for the vanity...i'll post pics once i have everything done. :girl:

Finished my interior swap yesterday. Did the doors, license plates, map lights, glove box, vanity, and 48 led panels in the domes. love Love LOVE it!!!

I ordered front parking lights and rear turn signal led replacements from superbright leds....they are yellow instead of amber and are dimmer than the stock halogens. I ordered from them opposed to vleds because their checkout page shows up as unsecure on my laptop. Might have to bite the bullet and order from them anyway. Kinda shocked i dont have the "lock" symbol on the checkout page like most other websites. Makes me nervous.

Next on the list are better rear turn signal leds, and those crazy 9w reverse leds from vleds

is there a replacement for the acual white-ish lens ? For the lens on the running boards . something more on the clear side like the lens of head lights ?

I was kinda hoping to find somewhere if they exist on a more clearer lens.

does anyone know ?

I did this upgrade last night and love the brighter white. I can now actually see inside the vehicle. Here are before and after pics taken with no flash. They are a little fuzzy due to the no flash setting.

Hey guys, I've found a website I got some dome light LEDs from and man are they bright! You can pay the $20 a pop for them from Superbrightleds.com or vleds.com but I paid $7.50 for one (it's a 48 LED flat panel). I only got one to test it out and am going to get more now that I know how bright they are. You can choose from many different options, i.e. 12, 18, 24, 36, 48 LED. THE ONLY thing is that it is shipped from china and takes a few weeks to get here, but I think well worth the wait! The link to my 48 LED is below.
