do most 06, 07 v8 powered 4runner owners prefer leather or cloth interiors ?

i"m in process of picking up aa 06 or 07 v8 and thought it would be nice to have all leather interior but I'm not finding any ? I'm finding more with cloth interior.

Is this just my observation, or are the greater number of v8 powered 4runner owners cloth interior owners ?

thanks for reading

Leather interiors are an expensive upgrade and I suspect that a lot of people would forgo leather for a larger engine, possibly to balance out the cost of the larger engine. Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find one. I think leather in general is not as common as cloth interior.

My Leather Pro's and Con's:

Pro's:
- Adds value and luxury look
- Heated seats available in winter
- Easy to clean (just wipe off)
- When treated regularly, keeps luxury look with smooth texture

Con's:
- If not treated regularly, creates cracks, creases and rough texture
- Cold in winter, Hot in summer
- Restricts your casual attire. Denim jackets, pocket knives, back pocket zippers/rivets/buttons, or anything rough could puncture or indent leather which might start some deformity.

I pretty much wear slacks and shorts. But i watch what's in my pockets when i wear denims.

Dated opinion here cuz i had a 3rd gen 4runner. Excellent cloth seats. I am usually a fan of the leather interior just think 4runners are made with good cloth seats and sub par leather. I am looking to buy a 2010 now and going to stay with cloth.

My pro's and con's with cloth seats.

PRO'S:

- No cracks nor creases to worry about.
- Feels warmer and cooler in winter/summer than leather.
- No worries if you poke a tiny hole. Unlike leather, can't be seen by naked eye.
- You can use cloth seat covers over it to cover tears and make your seats look like new.
- You can sew those little tears together.

CON'S:

- No heated seats during freezing point temperatures.
- Spilled liquids can go thru into the foam. May stink (especially puke) if not cleaned thoroughly. Watch out for those with PMS. Sorry but it happens.
- Burns easily (for you smokers).
- Pen and marker ink are a pain to remove especially some lipsticks.

I had both and overall, I am happier with leather. The leather on my trucks is wearing well and the seats are pretty comfortable.

leather for sure. You're spending a bundle anyway so spend a few bucks more and enjoy the leather.
The only way that I would get cloth is if the deal was waaaay to good to pass up.

'08 V8 with cloth seats. Never liked leather, yes, I know they look better and you can get heated seats for winter, but overall, it's not worth the extra expense for me...I'd rather get (and did!) another useful option.

I had an Sr5, good price, had 4x4 and sunroof, all that I wanted, and low miles, I wanted leather, but wasn't a deal breaker obviously, I went on ebay the day I got home, found Katzkin leathers, full interior, including doors, got for $300.00 shipped, they are obviously brand new, found a mobile car care guy to come to my house and put them on for $150.00, took him about 6 hrs, but they are awesome, and so far am enjoying them very much, shop around and take your time, I will get you the guys name if you'd like, he has an ebay store, had a few more sets laying around. came in Katzkin box, in plastic, w/ warranty card and manufacter paper.
