Interior trim question

I have a 98 limited and was wondering why some parts of my interior trim are black and the others wood grain. My gauge trim is black and the trim around the shifter is black but the radio area and window controls are wood. Shouldn't it all be wood?

I wouldn't mind taking those of your hands, or trade you the two main black pieces i have. I just want to know why all of mine isnt wood.

Thats how my truck looks, you can pull out the trim and use wood grain wrap on it, but then you are talking bucks and PITA. But it can be done.
