1999/2000 & 2001/02 console trim difference

So I have a 2000 limited, my brother has an 01 Limited. The center console trim (around the radio stack) is most decidedly different between the 2 years with the 01 trim being noticable darker. All the woodgrain pieces from 00 to 01 are a different color (darker in the 01)

My 00 trim is broken in several places and I would like to replace it. The trim is still available from Toyota listed under part number 55412-35200. However, Toyota lists this number for both the 00 and 01 Limited 4runner.

My guess is that if I were to order this I would get the later 01 trim color.

Anyone take the leap of faith and ordered this part? Did you get the 01 or 00 color? Is there any way to specify to 00 trim color?

I'm currently upgrading all of my trim from the lighter version to the darker version (that way the center bezel should hopefully be good for the next 20 years), so I'm fairly familiar with this.

The darker trim ('01-02) is still available from Toyota, under the PN you listed. The lighter one ('99-00) is discontinued. If you order the item, you will receive the darker version.

yes the 001 002 is darker and may loook out of place unless you do all the trim, but then again the other trim pieces are far enough away that you might not notice or care
