This feels like a strange issue. Been doing more traveling than normal, as it's fall recruiting season and have been traveling to showcases across the Northeast. About 1300 miles this month. This is about normal for me in November.
Anyway, I track mpg using the Fuelly app, and have been trending downward on average for a couple months now. I checked my fuel ups from last year at this time, thinking bad gas, etc.
My range in 2012 was 17.2-18.1 during the month. Nothing below 17.2, and three above 17.5. About normal. This was over 7 tanks, average about 17.3.
This year, my range has been 15.7 - 19.3. Two tanks are 17.9 and 19.3. Everything else is under 17. This is over 6 tanks. Not complaining about 19.3, but this seems crazy. I do get that my average is about 17.1, but only because I have an outlier tank at 19.3. Without that tank I'm in the mid 16s...
I do have some pulsing in the brakes, am looking at doing rotors/pads soon.
Just looking for some ideas on what I should look into. I'll have access over the holidays to a full set of tools and a nice heated garage to work in, so want to do some planning and get the parts I need.
