Hi all, hoping you can help me with a problem my dad's 06 V8 has been having. A few weeks ago, his truck randomly stalled at a stoplight for no apparent reason. It did not misfire or run roughly at all, the rpms would just steadily drop til the car turned off. This happened everytime he stopped. When he got home I scanned it, and it pulled a code for a faulty O2 sensor, on bank 1, sensor 1. Replaced the oxygen sensor, hoping to fix the stall and at the same time cleaned to MAF. My dad has a K&N drop in, so I thought maybe some oil got on the MAF. This did not change anything. He took it in to get serviced and had it checked out while there, and they could not reproduce the stalling. We thought nothing of it, thinking maybe it was the O2 sensor, and it didnt come back....
Until today. As he was towing his small bass boat home, it did it everytime he stopped. He said he could also make it worse by turning off the AC. The rpm drops and it dies again. I once again cleaned the MAF, and now the problem is gone. But Im unsure if I fixed it, or its just not doing it right now. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.
