My question is has anyone replaced and cleaned an IACV before? Any advice or input would be appreciated!
History:
So I have a very intermittent warm start rough idle issue. I have searched many threads and found a lot of potential issues. I also ran across a bulletin from Toyota about hard start rough idles - after warmed up. I do not have the hard start she fires right away but idles rough occasionally when started warm.
I am going to replace the Thermal Cold Start Switch as a precaution because I do not have the high idle at start either and she cranks OK but I think she can crank better. I'd rather spend the money on a part then go crazy and chase intermittent part failures. With this switch replaced I have a base line established to move on.
As for the Warm Start Rough Idle I think I will inspect the IACV and clean and adjust as necessary after running the New Thermal Cold Start Switch awhile to see if that fixes the problem.
