The intermittent speed on my 2005 Toyota 4Runner doesn't work and the blades stop right where they are when I turn off the slow and/or fast speed. Any idea how to fix this?

The same happened to mine I would also like to know what anyone has done to fix this. Is it a relay that need to be replaced?

I'm not sure on the 4runner. I will tell you that I once had an older chevy that had a problem like this. I was a circuit board in the wiper motor gearbox. It basically kept track of where the wipers were in there sweep. It used brushes to rotate across a circuit board in relation to the motor that was divided up in sections. I haven't looked under the hood of the 4runner at that part but I bet they use something like it.
