Introduction

I just bought an '08 GX470. I was originally looking at the 4Runner but with the V8 which we needed for towing and leather seats the price had climbed in to Lexus territory. We spent a few days deliberating and finally ended up with a Lexus last night. I had posted in the 4Runner forum and was told about this forum so now that it's all official I just wanted to say hi.

Anyone have any advice pro or con about any of the dealer add ons or anything else I should know before we pick it up tomorrow?

specifically, I'm wondering about;

Window engraving (of the VIN)

Auto Armor Teflon Finish (claims to eliminate waxing for 5 yrs for $500, I'm skeptical)

and all weather floor mats & cargo liner (I want these but for $420, I'm wondering if there's a better value aftermartket version available that fits the GX well)

Congrats. You may want to read this thread from CL just in case your GX has the same issue (however I'm guessing it was just an anomaly):
