I have a section on my driver side rear fender, right above the running board, that has the "invisa-guard" on it. The previous owner said it might peel the paint off if i tried to take it off. any opinions on this would be great. it just looks kinda ratty and i want it gone.

thanks

What year is the vehicle? And also, judging by how the paint looks in general, does it look like it has seen excessive amounts of sun? (any fading, chipping, etc...) If the paint is in fairly good condition, it should come off with no problems, maybe using some heat from a hair dryer as you do when removing the emblems on a vehicle.

You also might want to try peeling off a small portion to test how well the adhesive is stuck on there. Maybe a bottom corner, where it's inconspicuous and wouldn't be seen. Also, pictures of it might help other members with their opinions.

its a 2001. appears as if the paint is brand new. always been garaged. I will try to get some pics up later.

If it doesn't look like the paint is weak from the sun there should be no reason it would come off from taking off adhesive. You might still want to try the Hair dryer method, it will soften up any adhesive that may be tough to get off.
