IPad Mount

First off, if you haven't seen this yet, freaking check it out ASAP. It's pretty awesome. A car stereo dock for an ipad.

The only problem I have with that is that a '98 t4r has a completely different dash and I can't see any realistic way of docking or attaching an ipad short of major, major reconstruction of the dash.

There any other good options for gps/google maps/movies that is feasible in a 3rd gen t4r?

well with the sheer size of the ipad, and the fact that their gps feature is so so imo (being an iphone user) it seems like a rad idea, but not quite practical. honestly, eclipse, pioneer, and kenwood in dash touch screen nav/dvd combos are incredible. its just a matter if your willing to spend the money on a quality product. if you luck out you can find a good eclipse on ebay since they just went out of business.

Yeah, I agree that iPad in-car isn't very practical. Especially high in the dash like that. I love my Pioneer avh-p4200dvd, and it does just about everything the iPad does while on the road. I have an iPhone for the things it doesn't do (GPS, WiFi/3G/Edge internet, apps).

I agree...the ipad is nice, but IMO, it's way too bulky to mount in a vehicle to use regularly. Plus it's a much bigger target for theives.
